Company

Stephenson Toelkes Associates (STA) is a well positioned manufacturer's representative group that assists clients to source furnishings for the built environment. Based in the Midwest, our rep group has operated in the Kansas City area for the last 24 years. STA brings together a unique team that is highly qualified to assist in managing the entire procurement process from design to installation. Our primary focus is to be a complete resource to our clients. We are experienced at working out front managing a project, or we can work behind the scenes as a part of a team.

STA also has a complete CAD capacities and our experienced staff can provide drawings for pre-selected products or we can utilize our many years of design experience to help you plan your space,suggest appropriate furniture for your project and provide complete specifications.


Billie Toelkes

Billie Stephenson-Toelkes is a graduate of the Interior Architecture program from Kansas State University.  Billie is the managing principal of ST Associates and has held a number of design industry positions including, City Center Director of the  Midwest chapter of IIDA.  Billie is also a Past Chairman and member of the Advisory Board for Architectural Studies at the University of Missouri and has served as an advisor to Kansas State University’s School of Interior Architecture.   

Billie became Director of Design at the dealership level before establishing her own Haworth dealership. Her firm Contract Design Group, held design and facility/project management contracts, for several multiple location companies such as, Santa Fe Railway (now BNSF), Blue Cross-Blue Shield, First National Bank and Security Benefit Group of Companies, to name a few.  

Billie formed Stephenson Toelkes Associates, a multi-line, manufacturer’s rep group in 1995 and has worked in conjunction contract furniture dealer teams to assist with planning, specification and management services to win several national contracts. Billie’s expertise has resulted in highly successful outcomes on several projects with a Tech Center developer throughout the US and specifically in New York, New Jersey, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta (3-Projects), Chicago, Florida, California, Kansas and Virginia. 

Teaming with another dealer, the team won contracts with three large corporate clients in different industries, to assist with planning, furniture specification, move management and installation for multiple offices from the East to West Coast.   


Greg Toelkes 

Greg Toelkes has 20 + years in the Commercial Office furnishings industry.  Greg oversees all of the field operations for STA and furniture installations for the group,including warranty follow-up/service.     

Prior, Greg has held various positions over a 30-year career in the construction industry having begun as a Master Carpenter and later owned a commercial general construction company.  Greg was Director of Operations for a real estate investment firm, with oversight of all activities which accounted for several million dollars in redevelopment. 


Lindsey Stephenson

Lindsey joined the firm full-time in 2018 after having worked behind the scenes in several support capacities with STA over many years.  She holds a BA in Journalism with an emphasis in advertising & marketing and a minor in Art History.  Working closely with her mentor, Billie,  Lindsey has focused upon Architectural and Design accounts and brings with her a great deal of experience in retail,inside sales and marketing.   


Austin Holliday

Austin brings to STA a vast knowledge of Social Media and other technical abilities and is certified by both Microsoft and Apple.  He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Kansas School of Architecture and will receive his Masters in 2020. He also holds a multi-state Real Estate license. These skill sets are invaluable in providing a desirable client end-result in today’s office environment.
